That's Southend and Basildon stores now gone...
Any left or will it be the MEGA store at the Hotpoint only??

It was only opened as a temporary 'pop'up' store anyway (according to the article) so no big deal or surprise that it's closing.

The reason for closing it makes no bloody sense.
People in Basildon, who would've gone to their local store, aren't now going to go all the way to Stratford to buy stuff, are they.

The Basildon store is shit through. Over-priced toot. Never had all the sizes. I tried several times to buy my girl a kit once and they never had the sizes. I ordered a book from there once and twice I went in there when they said it had arrived to be told it hadn't. Fucking idiots working in there too. No wonder people just stopped going in there.

Presumably they closed it because it wasn't making any money. I know Essex east of Chigwell is a 3rd world country, but I don't think that West Ham should subsidise the local economy at a loss.

Knew a bloke that worked in the Southend branch one .. started off ok making a bit but soon tailed off after a few years... got a fair bit of vandalism as well (paint on glass, SUFC graffiti on the shutters and doors etc).
Lakeside one ALWAYS has a few people in there... never seems to be properly stocked out... well unless you love West ham wine gums that is
